The Mosasaurus is the strongest shark in SharkBite.

Description

Alongside having the best overall stats, the Mosasaurus is also the most expensive shark in game. Even more speedy than the Shortfin Mako, this reptile can swim faster than any boat in the game. However, as a consequence of its high speed, the Mosasaurus handles poorly and can lag if boosted. As evidenced by its in-game statistics, the Mosasaurus is by far the best shark to have been added to SharkBite.

Pros

• If done correctly, the Mosasaurus can fly when boosting.
• Boost recharges quickly, and can be used much more often than normal.
• Its base speed can catch all boats in the game, with the exception of the Spectre (which it can catch while boosting).
• Can easily destroy boats without any problems.

Cons

• Can be glitch at times, especially while boosting if your device does not support it.
• Its high speed causes it to have rather poor handling when chasing boats.
• When boosting, the Mosasaurus can be hard to control.
• The camera can often get stuck in one place.
• Its large hit-box makes you a larger target to hit.
• It is the most expensive shark in the game costing 2,500 Teeth.
• People can get stuck on the back if you go too fast, and the player can shoot constantly until you die.

Tips & Tricks

For the Mosasaurus, it is relatively easy to kill players, as it is capable of outrunning any boat with its boost, and its health makes it difficult to kill. The jaws of the Mosasaurus are much bigger than any other shark’s, so if players attempt to use the tactic of swimming towards the seafloor, they can be easily snapped up. The only disadvantage is the fact that ships can change direction sharply. When chasing a boat, you shouldn’t be directly behind it, but approaching it from the side or from a diagonal angle. Also, don't boost too often, as it may be hard to control the Mosasaurus. Try to intercept any boats if you can.

Boats

If you know the shark is a Mosasaurus before the round starts, use the boat pick to your advantage, if able. Contrary to popular belief, having fast boats isn't your best bet of survival. Instead, you should aim to use one of 2 strategies: Try to lag out the shark, or hide underwater.

Using large boats such as the Titanic or Deluxe Yacht during a Mosasaurus round massively increases your chance of survival. When (and if) the shark comes for your boat, shoot it with high DPS weapons like the Ray Gun or AK-47 (or maybe Minigun or Shark Blaster) and attempt to melt at least 1/4 of its health before it hits your boat. Once it hits your boat, try your best to deal even more damage. Even though your chances of survival are still slim, you have a higher chance of surviving. The above strategy works the best with more people. As an alternative, you can use a boat like the Submarine (which is preferred) or the Stealth Boat to hide underwater. Simply submerge to the ocean floor, and hop into passenger seat of your boat. With the Submarine, you are harder to spot, as it is smaller than the Stealth Boat. If you wish to, you can drive your submarine to the back of main island before shark spawns, then submerge, drive into shark cage, and hop into passenger seat. If the shark knows to zoom out before the match starts, however, this method will not work.

On Water surface

If attacked by the Mosasaurus on the surface of the water, the player is at a huge disadvantage. Players should always aim to work together and surround the Mosasaurus, while one ship distracts it. If you are up against it solo, give sharp turns with your boat, or approach different ships (larger works better), as the Mosasaurus might just change its course and target a different ship. In the case that your ship is destroyed but you survive, aim to go to the seafloor, and try to shoot at it from the bottom. However, the best strategy is to always keep moving away from the Mosasaurus, as there is a miniscule chance of killing it before it kills you. However, there is a small chance that it will not go under, so you can ride it while shooting (it works best if it's lagging a lot). Also its good to have a combination of Ray Gun, shark blaster, and Minigun to defeat a Mosasaurus. However, the easiest way to survive is by sitting in the passenger seat of your boat and not the driver seat, so it cannot see your blue or red particles. Also if you have a big ship and it is destroyed make sure to stay in a seat above water and to not shoot, or use chat. Then, it will have to search the entire map to find you. To put it simply, you will die if you haven't had to much experience with the game.

Underwater

Use a fast boat like Spectre, Raptor or Golden Speedboat and drive as fast as possible to the shark cave entrance as nearer as possible. When the round starts, go into the cave and sit at the top of the cave. You can also use your weapons to kill the shark from the cost of 1000 to 2000 except for the Minigun due to its barrel can be eaten off. The odds of life or death when hiding underwater against this monster is 50/50, meaning you still have to be careful. Since it is extremely hard to survive a round with the Mosasaurus, you will be awarded a badge at the end if you manage to live. Use a Submarine, since the seat gains infinite oxygen. When it is destroyed, the seat will likely sink to the bottom of the ocean. This will help you shoot/survive the Mosasaurus!
